Monday morning was spent digital painting in MyPaint and GIMP - “Adam ‘Ted’ Frankenstein IN SPACE”.

This is going to be my next game in Unity - extending on from Adam ‘Ted’ Frankenstein

Here is the line (mypaint), grayscale (GIMP), and color (GIMP) works.

Spent the day on Saturday putting together Adam ‘Ted’ Frankenstein in Unity3d. It’s three scenes linked together with a next button. If you want to play it - check it out on GameJolt

I’ve continued the game dev thing after releasing this - back into MyPaint for digital sketching.

Epic Jam is a jam I noticed that I wouldn’t mind making something for. It’s unique in the fact that subthemes are added as the jam happens. The main theme is - First Time.

I’ve continued some Adam ‘Ted’ Frankenstein drawings/paintings, and it would do me good to work on Adam ‘Ted’ Frankenstein further.

Anyway, here’s some MyPaint digital line, followed by a grayscale paintover in GIMP. Next is to take this art into Blender.

Took a pastel work from Whaihanga into GIMP and performed a line, grayscale, and color traceover. It has been a very long time since I have done this - not since I have my old Medium Wacom tablet. The small tablet handles the line trace fine. Anyway, one of the main reasons why I did this was for concept house designs to model out in 3d. It’s always easier to produce 2d works first to get a feeling into what I want to create.

Spent the day focusing on oil pastel and pencil. Some excellent results and collaboration with the kids.

I wanted to produces some landscape/building designs for Teds environment. So far I’ve created several character models - and weird shapes. Needs some environments!

Busy day today - some great drawing and painting (but always prefer the drawing due to control!). Snapped photos of the drawings., uploading these later. It’s always very exciting to draw with children - I can always ask them ‘What do you want me to draw?’, and they always have an answer.

Working on my Monster Mash 2014 game. It is due July 7th (8th here). I have a few days left on it so it’s really important that I get stuck into it.

I have crossed a Bear into the game due to SketchDaily theme. These two works have been created in MyPaint.

Hello.

I have been busy today digital painting. I need to make a video game and am partaking in Monster Mash 2014. Themes I have been exploring for it - Treasure Island (Krakan etc..). This continues the game I started for Public Domain Jam.

I am also interested in Norse monsters, and I really should go check out some Irish or Scottish…The possibilities are endless with monsters though!

Today has been much better than yesterday. I woke up feeling good. Even after a long walk yesterday I felt crap. Anyway, I slept in today which helped, waking up at 10am. Bruce was heading into the center at Noon so I got ready and headed in with him. I had my tablet and laptop with me. Finding material was hard, so I decided to paint a musician I hadn’t painted before - Lana Del Ray. Much the same process as my previous color digital painting - line, black and white tonal, and finally color. It’s great that I’m setup at the center with the digital painting! Cheers -

This is a piece I created at the center last week. Line layer was done and I started with the gray-scale tonal layer.

I’ve had a crappy day. Not looking forward to the future.

I use a script to pull data from one subreddit to another. This helps me choose and organize my works easier. I was explaning the script to my Brother and telling him what i want to do next with it.

One change i can do is change what subreddit it pulls data from. For awhile this was set to chosse a random subreddit that the user subscribed to. I’ve gone back and changed it to a specif subreddit - ive been focusing on RedditGetsDrawn and GoneMild. It’s bee fun painting people on GoneMild - the photos tend to be full bodies so plently of info to capture.
