I have been doing a few digital paintings lately for RedditGetsDrawn. I like to get a couple done each day. I then get bored and switch back to Python.

Anyway, here’s the paintings:

It’s been a long time since I’ve uploaded any pencil drawings to the site. During my recent visit to Wellington I picked up a new A5 sketchbook that I have been busy filling with pencil drawings. I also have a 4H pencil which is my favorite, certainly more enjoyable than HB pencil to use.

Much of these drawings are from photo reference, with some from photo and life.

I am offering digital painting portraits for cheap.

Currently in Wainui. Here’s a quick digital drawing I did last night. Started as a portrait and moved into a landscape.

Found my tablet pen, and got my laptop working. I’ve been focused on 3d and Python lately. Need to get back into some regular digital painting. Here’s something I worked on tonight:

Hello. As you can see this site has been used for bbc news spam. This was a python script that i created. Basically what the script did was fetch json object with the module requests - and convert it to a dict with the module json.

This was written inside ipython notebook. Each request made choose a random number - between 0 and 13. This decided on which category to choose from - world, uk, tech, education and so on. Something to add to this would be for it not to choose the same option twice, but instead cycle through all 13 choices.

After this the data is then sorted and saved - as a file containing html.  This file had the title, summery , and image.

The data wasn’t alot, ideally i would like to work with the whole article content - not just the summery.

The following images are renders of 3d models i created inside maya. I’ve always used Blender over Maya but recently decided to give Maya a go. Like Blender, Maya also uses Python as a scripting language. I’ve got modeling sorted, still have to learn rigging and animation. These are simple inside Blender, but i struggle with Maya.

Several weeks ago i was involved with a game jam - redditbaconjam06. Since this is my art site i felt the need to upload several digital painting i did during the jam. Sadly, this was not used. Enjoy.

My laptop is currently out of action. I do however have my phones which ive been getting back into since the laptop charger breaking.

This is a digital painting produced in sketchbook pro on the device. The original art was a water color painting - created by my friend Cathern.
