Here’s a digital painting  I did today of Bellez. I promised her a painting months ago of her rats. It’s not the most dominating image of her Rat, it’s something. It’s been a long time since I’ve create a video for my digital painting - 3months! I used my old tablet, so looking forward to getting my new one back. I’ve returned it to MightyApe so it shouldn’t be too far away.

Until then, I’ll keep painting, because it makes me happy.

Grayscale tonal layer. Three different brushes used.

Color layer. Normally don’t use blue on figure, had to use a new blue for the sky, could of gone with yellow/reds. One brush type used.

So I’m back in Levin. The art being updated here has been slow. I haven’t been getting out and drawing. Althought yesterday I decided to use my old tablet and record some digital painting. Reference used was portraits from RedditGetsDrawn. It’s been months since I’ve recored videos of my digital painting. Hopefully I get my new tablet returned to me soon - I’ve dropped it off at MightyApe. Just got to wait for them to fix it and return.

It’s been sometime since I’ve uploaded some artwork to here. I’ve mostly been drawing, street scenes and such.

Here are several drawings I did well reading the Frank Hebert book - DUNE. Rather than working from reference these works are from imagination. I do this in real time - read a passage from the book and draw what it’s saying (often DESCRIBING a character or environment).

I’ve been using bio pen for my work. It’s quick, bold and allows me to WRITE more. Drawings are photographed at various stages - line and tone. Convert to black and white, just to get rid of that color temp problem. Make everything the same.
