zarah was the 2nd speaker at the Sydney android meetup. i had no idea what she was speaking about but i took notes anyway.

the first speaker at Sydney android meetup spoke about security. a topic that is close to my heart. i very much enjoyed this talk.

went along to a lunchtime tech talk in Sydney. They spoke about machine learning. It was OK, but nothing I hadn’t heard before.

I went to a digital art gallery opening on Friday night. I came prepared with my digital drawing setup. I had lots of interest in it with plenty of artists (and non artists!) giving it a go. There was others there using Wacom products - though they were on a much bigger scale and not open source.

Cat drawing. This was drawn after the gallery event outside a bar that wouldn’t let me in. The girl that drew it was great. Randoms on the street, creating art.

Portraits. Some of them may be of me - I was holding the pi/screen and artist holding wacom/pen and drawing. I would like to think they are portraits of me. Few wine glasses, which is appropriate since so much wine was consumed.

This was created by two children. Anyone can use my setup. It’s impossible to make a mistake.

This is a dump of the digital drawings I have created since I’ve been in Sydney. It’s mostly from tech meetups but also of the waterfront. I have yet to make it to a zoo or beach to draw.

It’s been almost a month since the last update. Currently I’m in Sydney. Not much artwork has been created this last month - mostly been writing code. Plan on creating more artwork well i am in Sydney.

I read The Night Circus and started IT. I likely won’t finish IT but the start is excellent. I have a Kobo and the sleep screen shows the book cover. This has motivated me to draw it.

I have a new Wacom Intous. It’s more sensitive than my old one. It’s also less damaged. My old Wacom Intous (which I got in 2014) was chipped away and stained. Something new is nice! I hope whoever finds my old Wacom puts it to use :)

Having a go with the new tablet in Krita. Have yet to test grayscale/color layers with the new drawing tablet.

During the weekend I lost my Wacom drawing tablet. I have since ordered a new one. It’s still upgrade. The panel was chipped and stained on the old wacom so a fresh new one will be nice. Here are three drawings I did before i lost the drawing tablet.
